Rescue Class      Class Schedule     

The PADI Rescue Diver course is am important and crucial step in expanding a diver’s knowledge and experience beyond a purely recreational level.  This PADI Rescue Diver rating is a prerequisite for all PADI leadership training (Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, and Open Water Scuba Instructor.)

The PADI Rescue Diver course is designed to develop the necessary knowledge and skills for individuals to effectively perform diver rescues and assists, manage diving accident situations, render proper first aid and qualify for PADI Divemaster.

Along with all standard diving equipment, the student is responsible for having the equipment listed in sections 2 and 3 in the Rescue Diver manual.  All students are encouraged to construct and maintain a diving first aid kit consistent with the guidelines provided in the manual.

Prerequisites:  PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent, minimum of 20 logged dives with experience in the following areas: night, deep, underwater navigation, and search and recovery.  Completed medical and liability and release forms.

Cost: $195.00 plus text book

College Credit: This course qualifies for 2 semester credits at the Central Lakes College (CLC) in Brainerd, MN.  If this class is taken for college credit, registration must take place at CLC and the cost will increase.
