Josh Duda PADI Dive Master #199544
Josh
has been diving since 2001, it was a snorkeling trip on Palacar reef in
Cozumel that pushed him over the edge..."I just couldn't hold me breath long
enough". Since that time he has been diving in Cozumel, Isla Mujares,
Playa del Carmen area (Ocean and Cenotes), various Minnesota & Wisconsin Lakes
and rivers, and the pits.
For Josh every dive is a great dive! He enjoys night and deep dives, each dive has its own appeal! According to Josh it would be hard to pick an all time favorite dive but, the Cenote dives hold something all on their own, and nothing can compare to that experience. The Crosby Mine Pits hold the same appeal in a completely different way. In his mind there is no way to compare the different environments. The history of the formations make each location distinct (rock collapses, open pit quarry, etc).
Josh is a member of the Crow Wing County
Rescue team and he holds certifications numerous certification from open water
to diver master along with several specialties some of these include; Ice, Black
water,
Rapid
Deployment (SAR), Public Safety Diver (SARR) and Public Safety Rapid Deployment.
When not diving Josh works as a flight paramedical for North Ambulance, teaches First Responder Courses, Red Cross First Aid and CPR. He has also been a guest lecturer to hundreds of medical professional about the effects of Decompression Illness.
In the winter you will often find Josh out Cross Country Skiing and participating in regional ski races.
